I devote my artistic practice to the celebration of life and wish to contribute to an atmosphere of hope.
Utilizing vibrant colors, I create lively yet balanced compositions. Indicated figures and faces become representatives of inner states of reflection, contemplation, and kindness.
What keeps me engaged in my process is the potential that occurs from spontaneous decision making, allowing each piece to grow organically. I see my responsibility as an artist to maintain focus and openness, while the piece unravels itself. Something that helps me is to think of a specific movement, it could be a spiral or a breeze. I like to imagine grass being swayed and curved by the air, or leaves floating on a creek.
